I’ve been away from the blog more lately as I close in on HRevolution this weekend. Believe me, I have tons to say, just no time to say it. Without much writing time, I have still tried to participate in online conversations. Last night was #Tchat on Twitter. If you’re not familiar with it, be sure to jump on Twitter on Tuesday nights and search for the hashtag Tchat. You’ll find HR pros and recruiters asking and answering questions on hot topics in our industry.
Last night though, I got all fired up.
Here we were, a group of HR professionals, and several people were using the dreaded “seat at the table” statement. Look, if we can’t even get past that line, we’re not going to progress in our organizations. I know, I’m preaching to the choir on this one.
I’m glad I got all fired up about practitioners who still don’t quite get it. Luckily for me, I have HRevolution on Saturday so I can vent, debate, and get ALL….FIRED……UP about a lot of topics! Be sure to click the link below to hear a little Pat Benatar All Fired Up…..viva la Revolution!

I agree with you 1000% Trish! So tired of the buzz words and terminology. I have to say that I think there were more consultant-types during the chat who started using the buzz words. Those in the trenches know better. 🙂

Hey Kim, lets not paint to broad a brush stroke when talking about consultants. I would not use the “T” word at all. I am tired of it as well. Besides I would rather have a seat at the bar.
